Special Boys

Words can not express my love for these two boys.  They are my world, day in and day out.  Without them, life would be nothing.

Ben is a funny little guy.  He loves to be around people, he loves to get dirty, and he loves to cuddle.  It is sometimes hard to get him to sit still long enough to cuddle, but when he does it melts my heart.  He wakes up happy, goes to bed happy, and makes everyone around him happy.  He has a huge heart and wants to do everything his older brother does.  He is rough and tough and nothing scares him!  I hope he never looses his cute laugh...or should I say chuckle!

Sam is a little man.  He has a vocabulary that is out of this world and uses words that most adults do not have in their vocabulary.  If you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up, he will tell you a paleontologist and I truly believe he might be one day!  He lives for dinosaurs and knows most every kind by name.  He is very particular about things and likes to have things in order.  Being clean is also a necessity, giving kisses and rubbing them in is a priority, and he loves to be around his family.  He is also a cuddler and one of the sweetest people I know.  Sam is my pleaser, my charmer, and my little scientist!

We had such a wonderful trip with the Irby's a few weeks ago.  We look forward to their trips to Kentucky and always hate to see them leave.

The boys had a wonderful time visiting and playing with each other.  We kept thinking they would wear down, but they have energy levels much higher than the adults!

Andrew and Ben peaking in Gram's toy shed to see what they could drag out!!

Ben couldn't be happier!

Ben was the youngest, but he didn't think so!  He got right in the middle of all the action!

Silly boys!

They finally decided some quiet time was needed....they enjoyed watching a movie together!

In and out...all day long and they never ran out of energy!

Sam wanted to do everything James did and James was very patient with him!

The weather was beautiful, so Gram fed the boys outside.  Picnics are always fun, but picnics with all four boys together made it special!  I love watching these boys grow!

Happy Birthday Pap

Happy Birthday Pap!  We love you so much!  You are an amazing role model and Sam and Ben look up to you everyday!

Mini Matt

Sam has asked for a tie for several weeks, and he finally got a few!  Gram and MeMom found him a couple and he was excited to wear them to church, "just like daddy!"

If I have to say so myself, he looks adorable and many commented on how he looked like a Mini Matt!

Adult ConversationI

Conversation #1
Sam: Gram, look…..this is an egg shell! It must be from a baby bird.

Gram: Wow, Sam…that’s neat!
A few minutes go by…and Sam finds a cicada shell
Sam: Gram, mystery solved. That shell must be from this bug!
Gram is thinking, “mystery solved”….You are so smart, Sam!!

Conversation # 2:
Sam: Gram, I accidentally knocked your glasses on the floor when I reached for your IPad.
Gram is thinking….what 3 ½ year old uses “accidently” in a sentence?

Conversation #3:
Sam:  I love riding in the back of Granddaddy's truck
Dad:  It is bumpy in the back, hold on
Sam:  Don't worry about me, I have it under control
Dad:  Hold on, there is a ditch ahead.  It will be bumpy.
Sam:  Daddy, don't worry about me.  You are the one who is not holding on.
Sam:  This is ridiculous.  It is way too bumpy back here!

He is growing up....WAY too fast!
