Halloween--Adventure 2

My Two Dinosaurs!

Hayden, Chase, and Sam--big buddies!

Brother Will and Sam

Trick-or-Treating with his friends!

The Puckett Boys!
Halloween brings a lot of memories to mind-- one involving getting in and out of the car and walking house to house!  Instead of dealing with carseats and driving, we were lucky enough to go to our church tonight for "Trunk-or Treat!"  The boys had a great time and Sam finally got the hang of saying trick-or-treat to get snacks put into his pumpkin!!   We came home with more snacks and candy than the boys can eat for a year!!

Halloween--Adventure 1

Having Sam at Farmington is a blessing!  Not only do I get to watch him learn and interact with his friends on a daily basis, I am able to watch the fun activities as well!  Today was his first preschool Halloween party!  His class trick-or-treated throughout the school and had great treats and snack afterwards!

Trick-or-treating in Mr. Madding's office.  I hope this is the only time he has to go to the principal's office this year!!

Roaring at the teachers!

A Man's Best Friend

The newest member of the Irby family is a girl named Jacke!  She is cute, smart, and great with small kids!  Sam and Ben enjoyed playing with her and although Gram was nervous, Jackie never jumped on the boys!  She played catch with Sam and would return the ball without a hassle.  Sam's favorite thing to do was to tell Jackie to "sit".  Unfortunately, Sam says, "sit" with two-syllables and Jackie didn't understand his command!

Fall Fun

Fall is my favorite time of year and such a special time for me to spend time with my family!  This past weekend, the weather was cold, but we took the boys to LBL for the Snap Apple Fest and to a family weenie-roast!  The boys had a great time both nights!  We went with friends on Friday night, so Sam had a hard time deciding if he wanted to play with Breece or sit and listen to story-telling around the fire!

Sam was intrigued with the witches who wanted to tell him his fortune!!  First, Breece was told she would be an Old Maid and then they told Sam he would marry at a young age!  She asked Sam if he had a girlfriend and he pointed to the "Old Maid" Breece!!

Ben is all smiles as he gets held around the bonfire!  He loves to be around people, so he was in heaven!  I was just proud that he left his hat on the entire night!!

Dinosaur World

If you have been around Sam in the last 2 months, I am sure you have heard about Dinosaur World! We promised Sam this trip if he would potty train and be a big boy. Just ask him…Ben couldn’t go because he is still in diapers!

Fall Break, Fall Break…that is what we have heard for 2 months and Fall Break is finally here! On Tuesday, we had a special day with just Sam. We woke up early, took Ben to Gram’s house, and headed for Dino World.

We weren’t quite out of the driveway before looking back to find Sam with his binoculars. Yes, he was searching for dinosaurs!!

Dinosaur World was just like Sam pictured it would be! First, he dug for fossils and explored like a paleontologist. Smiling from ear to ear, Sam took in every minute like it was the best moment of his life.

The dinosaurs were true to size and were placed throughout the “jungle” for us to discover. Sam oohed and aawed and the different kinds and told us over and over that, “Today was the best day of his life!”

As you guessed, we left Dino World with many treasures. Dinosaur fossils, a new plate, a stuffed animal, and a few new miniature T-Rex’s that he can take with him in his pocket to school.

After leaving Dinosaur World, we thought Sam would fall asleep, but we were wrong! He stayed up for the drive to Cave City. We visited The Lost Cave and took a boat ride in the cave.

Sam loved this part of the day also. The look in his eyes was precious and he informed everyone on the ride that he was a paleontologist—making discoveries.

Special days like today are priceless. If I was told once, I was told a hundred times, “Mommy, I have had the best time ever today!” I think Sam enjoyed being the center of attention and having his Mommy and Daddy all to himself because we got tons of hugs and told us countless times, “That he loved us to the sky and back!!”

Grandparents Breakfast

One of the joys of having Sam at Farmington Preschool is that I get to sneak in to take pictures!  Ms. Amy's class invited Grandparents to eat with the kids and Sam loved having MeMom and Granddaddy at his school!  Not only did he enjoy eating with them, he liked showing off his classroom!

MeMom and Granddaddy seemed to have a great time also!

This could be fun....

Now....he likes it!

Yum, Yum!

Presents in the mail are the best!

The dino cake was cute, but it tasted good also!

More dinos!

Presents everywhere!

Smiling with Mommy and Daddy!

Birthday Balooza

Having two boys with birthdays within a day of each other, we found ourself very busy this past weekend!  It was wonderful having their birthdays fall during our school Fall Break though, becuase we planned a week full of partying!!

Friday night, we had a family birthday party for the boys.  Pap, Gram, MeMom, Granddaddy, Gran Gran, Uncle Mark, Daniel, Jennifer, Aunt Ann, Uncle Buddy, and Anna Grace made the night special.

After Sam helped, Ben got the hint and dug right in!

Sam--helping Ben blow out the candles
We ate Sam's favorite dinner, Matt B's pizza and chips.  I also had a T-Rex cake for Sam and a # 1 cake for Ben to destroy.  Sam really enjoyed his cake this year and was able to blow out the candles by himself.  Ben on the other hand needed his big brothers help to blow out his candles and wasn't all into ripping into his cake.  After a little help, he was all into it and smashed it everywhere!!

Bows and paper...what more could a little boy want!
