If you have been around Sam in the last 2 months, I am sure you have heard about Dinosaur World! We promised Sam this trip if he would potty train and be a big boy. Just ask him…Ben couldn’t go because he is still in diapers!
Fall Break, Fall Break…that is what we have heard for 2 months and Fall Break is finally here! On Tuesday, we had a special day with just Sam. We woke up early, took Ben to Gram’s house, and headed for Dino World.
We weren’t quite out of the driveway before looking back to find Sam with his binoculars. Yes, he was searching for dinosaurs!!
Dinosaur World was just like Sam pictured it would be! First, he dug for fossils and explored like a paleontologist. Smiling from ear to ear, Sam took in every minute like it was the best moment of his life.
The dinosaurs were true to size and were placed throughout the “jungle” for us to discover. Sam oohed and aawed and the different kinds and told us over and over that, “Today was the best day of his life!”
As you guessed, we left Dino World with many treasures. Dinosaur fossils, a new plate, a stuffed animal, and a few new miniature T-Rex’s that he can take with him in his pocket to school.
After leaving Dinosaur World, we thought Sam would fall asleep, but we were wrong! He stayed up for the drive to Cave City. We visited The Lost Cave and took a boat ride in the cave.
Sam loved this part of the day also. The look in his eyes was precious and he informed everyone on the ride that he was a paleontologist—making discoveries.
Special days like today are priceless. If I was told once, I was told a hundred times, “Mommy, I have had the best time ever today!” I think Sam enjoyed being the center of attention and having his Mommy and Daddy all to himself because we got tons of hugs and told us countless times, “That he loved us to the sky and back!!”
