Snuggles with Pap

There is one man that comes before my husband....my dad!  I am lucky that he is involved in the lives of Sam and Ben and I know he loves when they sit still enough to snuggle with him! 

I love when Sam comes home and tells me that Pap was busy working today in the garage.  He told me today that when he grows up to be a big boy like Pap, he is going to be a worker just like Pap.  Before long Pap will be busy teaching both of them to work and do tricks!   

The MANY Faces of Ben

What a sweet little boy we have on our hands!  He is only 1 1/2 years old, but has such a personality!   With a glimmer in his eyes that could light up a room and a contagious laugh, this little one keeps us on our toes! 

Facts about Ben:
1.  Loves to talk:  thank you, more, please, milk, Sam, Abby, no, hi, mommy, and daddy are some of his favorites!  But sometimes Ben doesn't need to talk....he can quickly let you know what he wants or doesn't want!
2.  Goes to bed easy, sleeps a wonderful 11 hours, and wakes up with a smile!
3.  Will eat almost anything, but is a very messy eater!
4.  Wears 2T clothing
5.  Loves to be in the water
6.  Looks up to his big brother Sam and enjoys playing rough
7.  Is not scared of anything and the higher/faster it goes, the better
8.  Enjoys reading books
9.  Wants to be right in the middle of everything
10.  Is a snuggler and loves to be rocked!

Happy Summer

Happy Summer! Being a teacher is stressful between the months of August and May, but it pays off when summer break arrives! The boys and I have enjoyed the past two days sleeping late, staying in our pajamas, playing, and relaxing! Unfortunately Matt has had to work, but in a few weeks we will all be together!

As most of you know, Sam's favorite thing in the world is dinosaurs!  And....Ben is following in his footsteps by roaring and stomping around the house!  It is sweet to watch them play together and most of the time, Sam has all the trex and Ben is given the triceratops.  On a good day, when Ben gets tired of his usual dinos, Sam shares!
 
 

 

Playing outside has to be the best time of our day.  Last summer, Ben was not walking yet, so it was hard to go outside.  Now, they are running all over the yard playing in the jumper, kicking balls, playing in their house, and riding their jeep.  We are so blessed to have a wide open space for these boys!

Ben would kick this ball for hours! 

This is Sam, the store owner asking his customers what they would like to eat for lunch!

rough and tough...he gets so mad when he hurts himself!  I guess it is a good thing that he recovers quickly!
