On Friday Ben went to see the eye doctor. She was still worried about Ben's eyes because they tend to look inward. She recommended we see a pediatric ophthalmologist in Louisville, so we did.
The specialist informed us Ben definitely needed the surgery to prevent any eye loss in the future. His eyes are not working together and one is wanting to forget the other. We loved the doctor and since we does surgery on Wednesdays, she squeezed us in for surgery on the following day.

We spent the night in Louisville and checked in to Kosairs at the crack of dawn! We were very impressed with the care Ben received at Kosairs and knew he was in great hands. It was hard to believe we were in the car on our way home at 8:30 am!
Ben's eyes are red, but this will go away in the next couple of weeks. There is always a chance he may have to have another surgery, but we have our fingers crossed that one will fix the problem! Until his eyes heal, he will be wearing his cool sunglasses!
